Whether our paths cross personally or professionally, I hope you will...

Tell me more.  I love to learn about nearly every topic and rejoice in gaining a better understanding of people. Learning more helps us grow and move forward, both as individuals and as a culture.

Communicate your vision.  I enjoy building into the dreams of others, particularly when they align with my passions.  A willingness to invest in others' goals helps strengthen community and create positive change.

Allow me to share.  I observe details and patterns that many people miss, and use that skill to prevent issues when executing visions, overcoming obstacles, and constructing my own dreams.

Let me run.  I am trustworthy and have integrity in all that I do. Whether I am helping others grow and pursue their dreams, or developing and executing my own vision, I love going the extra mile.

About

I am passionate about building community, helping others grow, and developing leaders.

I believe that students thrive in an environment where they feel safe, known, and supported in taking steps outside of their comfort zone.  Earning a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan taught me the value of understanding our past in order to know ourselves and move forward as a society.  Co-coordinating the Children's Program at a camp in Michigan's Upper Peninsula provided me with essential skills in creating communities where all individuals feel valued.

I love investing in people and watching them grow, both as learners and personally.  In addition to working with youth and staff in camp settings, I have volunteered with middle school students participating in the National History Day program.  It is a joy to help learners acquire research, analytical, and presentation skills, but even more thrilling to see them improve over the years and find success as National Finalists.

I think we, as individuals and as a culture, need people who are willing not only to consume knowledge, but also to give back as leaders in areas where they are passionate.  I take great pleasure in helping students acquire skills that will help them succeed and take ownership of their dreams for making a difference.  One of my favorite life experiences was writing and implementing curriculum for social studies-based leadership programs for middle and high school students.  I am currently responsible for coordinating an education initiative for select staff at a health system who are expected to help train others and problem-solve issues with patient scheduling software.

In my personal life, I take joy in many of the same themes, particularly in observing family and friends have the confidence to be the best version of themselves.  I also find happiness in an odd assortment of small things, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, double bergamot Earl Grey tea, snow, MBTI, and Strengthsfinder.  It is not unusual to find me exploring local bookstores and coffee shops, analyzing American suburbia, enjoying the outdoors, or traveling.
